About Hamed Adewale Ishola (Alanu Mèkúnù)
Hamed Adewale Ishola, popularly known as “Alanu Mèkúnù”, is a technocrat turned politician with a deep passion for public service and community empowerment. Born in 1983 in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, he has dedicated his life to advocating for the welfare of ordinary citizens and ensuring their voices are heard. His commitment to progressive leadership has made him a respected figure within the PDP and a loyal supporter of Governor Seyi Makinde (GSM).
Educational Background
I began my academic journey at Maryhill Convent School, Idi-Ape, where I built a solid foundation in both academics and values during my primary education. For my secondary education, I attended Methodist Ojurin Bodija, a period that further refined my academic skills and leadership potential. I then pursued higher education in the United States of America at Indiana University Northwest, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Management, which equipped me with essential skills in healthcare administration and management. Building on this foundation, I advanced my expertise by obtaining a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law from the prestigious Loyola University Chicago, where I deepened my understanding of the legal frameworks and ethical considerations in healthcare.

Professional Experience
I commenced my work as a Radiographic Technologist, applying my proficiency in medical imaging to enhance patient care. My enthusiasm for healthcare and leadership directed me to long-term care, where I assumed the position of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services Director, managing mental health programs and ensuring adherence to care standards.
Upon transitioning to healthcare administration, I assumed the role of Nursing Home Administrator, overseeing hundreds of people while managing regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and the delivery of quality care. My expertise in leadership, compliance, and personnel management has cultivated my capacity to effectuate significant change.
In addition to healthcare, I am profoundly dedicated to human development, technology-based solutions, and the empowerment of adolescents and women through philanthropic initiatives. My grassroots mobilization initiatives in Egbeda and Ona Ara have concentrated on enhancing communities, promoting economic possibilities, and ensuring governance is accountable to the populace.
"My steadfast commitment to good governance, youth empowerment, and economic transformation has positioned me as a strong and reliable leader for the people of Egbeda and Ona Ara."
Political Journey & Leadership Experience
Honorable Ishola is no newcomer to Oyo State politics. He previously aspired and worked towards being nominated by his party to represent Egbeda and Ona Ara Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives. During the 2018 primary elections, he emerged as a major contender but was asked by the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi to step down for another aspirant. Despite this, Ishola remained a dedicated advocate for the people and continued working tirelessly to support his constituency.
Since 2019, he has realigned with the PDP, playing an instrumental role in mobilizing grassroots support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s re-election, especially in Egbeda and Ona Ara. His steadfast commitment to good governance, youth empowerment, and economic transformation has positioned him as a strong and reliable leader for the people of Egbeda and Ona Ara.

Founder of Wally Walters Foundation
Beyond politics, Ishola is a seasoned philanthropist and the founder of the Wally Walters Foundation, established in 2015. Through this platform, he has spearheaded numerous empowerment programs, scholarships, and humanitarian projects benefiting thousands of Nigerians, particularly in Oyo and Lagos States. His unwavering dedication to helping the less privileged, especially women, youth, and the elderly, has earned him the well-deserved title of “Alanu Mèkúnù” (The Helper of the Common Man).
As he transitions into the political space, Ishola is committed to ensuring a people-centered governance that continues to uplift the vulnerable and empower citizens. Once he clinches the party nomination for a House of Representatives Candidate, he will resign from his position on the foundation’s board of directors to focus entirely on serving the people of Egbeda and Ona ara with integrity, vision, and a progressive development agenda.
